Rap Is Alive Pt. 9: Curren$y & Wiz Khalifa

Das letzte Mal ist doch schon eine Weile her. Dafür versorge ich euch mit den neuen Hypes: N’Awlins Own Curren$y (rechts auf dem hilariösen Bild) hat Labelvergangenheit bei diversen Majors und Lil Wayne’s Cash Money, haut seit 2008 tonnenweise Tapes raus und ist einfach eine coole Sau. Er rappt genauso, wie die beiden auf dem Bild oben aussehen. Der totale Stoner-Lifestyle. Plus hat er die geilsten Shouts („jets… fooool…“).
Wiz Khalifa (links) hat auch einen dicken Majordeal plus entsprechenden Buzz hinter sich (die Single „Say Yeah“.mp3 war zu geil!) und releaset ebenfalls im 6-Wochen-Takt (letztes Release: „Burn After Rolling„). Er ist eher auf dem Spass- und 80s-Trip hängengeblieben („yeeeeeaaah bitch!“).
Ihr gemeinsames Tape „How Fly“ ist fast schon ein Downloadklassiker und klingt total anders als ihre Solosachen. Checkt einfach die Tracks, es lohnt sich.
